How to Get Ready for Edge Rewards: 5 Things to Do Before 1 November
A short, practical checklist so you can start earning points from the day you get in.
TL;DR
- Join the waitlist now. Founding members get into Edge Rewards on Sunday 1 November 2026, and everyone else can join from Saturday 7 November.
- Connect Strava, Garmin, Apple Health or Coros to Edge, or plan to log workouts by hand. Manual entries count.
- Start a simple weekly habit now. Points reward steady days, not one huge session.
- Share your waitlist link. Every friend who joins through it moves you further up the queue.
- Know the basics: up to 50 points a day, a reset at the end of each month, and real rewards from partner brands.

Points a day you can earn on the free plan
To get ready for Edge Rewards, do five things before 1 November: join the waitlist, connect Strava, Garmin, Apple Health or Coros (or plan to log workouts by hand), build a simple weekly habit, share your waitlist link, and learn how points work. Edge Rewards is not live yet, so this is all about being set up: founding members on the waitlist get in on Sunday 1 November 2026, and everyone else can join from Saturday 7 November 2026.
Edge Rewards is our own free rewards programme. Once it opens, the workouts you log in Edge will earn points you can spend on real products from partner brands. Get rewarded for moving. None of the steps below cost anything and none of them take long. Here is the checklist, in the order we would do it.
Step 1: Why should you join the waitlist first?
Because the waitlist is what makes you a founding member, and founding members go first. Everyone on the list gets into Edge Rewards on Sunday 1 November 2026, six days before the public launch on Saturday 7 November.
Joining asks for your first name and email, and that is all. Go to findyouredge.app/waitlist, add your details, and you are in the queue. Founding members also get a founding-member badge that stays on your profile, and first pick of the launch rewards. We cover the full detail in our guide to Edge Rewards founding members.
Why do six days matter? You start earning from the day you get in, and on the free plan that is up to 50 points a day. A steady first week can add up before the public launch has even started. If you only do one thing on this list today, make it this one.
Step 2: How should you connect your apps and devices?
Edge syncs with Strava, Garmin, Apple Health and Coros, and any logged workout will count towards Edge Rewards, including imports from all four. Connect whichever one you already use now, while there is no rush, so your sessions flow into Edge from day one.
- Strava: handy if everything you record already ends up there.
- Garmin or Coros: connect the service your watch uses, and your activities are imported into Edge.
- Apple Health: the route for workouts saved to Apple Health on your iPhone.
- No watch at all? Manual entries count, at the same 1 point per minute.
Once you are connected, do a quick test. Record a short session this week and check it shows up in Edge. If it does, you are set. If you plan to log by hand, get into the habit of doing it straight after the session, while the minutes are fresh. For the full picture of what counts and how it gets into Edge, read our guide to which apps and devices work with Edge Rewards.
Step 3: What kind of weekly habit should you build now?
A simple one you can keep. Edge Rewards caps earning at 50 points a day on the free plan, with no roll-over, so it rewards showing up often more than going big once. A two-hour Sunday session earns the same 50 points as a 50-minute one.
So the best preparation is a routine that fits your week. Three or four short sessions plus some daily walking is a great place to start. Pick your days now, put them in your calendar, and treat them like appointments. By 1 November, it should feel normal rather than new.
Here is what a simple starter week could look like for a free member, using rough step counts.
| Day | Session | Steps | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | 30-minute easy run | 6,000 | 45 (30 + 15) |
| Tuesday | Rest day | 8,000 | 20 |
| Wednesday | 30-minute strength session | 4,000 | 40 (30 + 10) |
| Thursday | Rest day | 6,000 | 15 |
| Friday | 20-minute HIIT session | 8,000 | 40 (20 + 20) |
| Saturday | 45-minute easy run | 8,000 | 50 (capped, from 65) |
| Sunday | Rest day, long walk | 10,000 | 25 |
| Week total | 4 sessions, 125 minutes | 50,000 | 235 |
An illustration, not a target. Edge Rewards is not live yet, so this shows how points will work at launch: 1 point per workout minute, 2.5 points per 1,000 steps (up to 25), and a combined cap of 50 a day.
As a rough guide, about a week of training earns a free coffee, so a week like this one puts a first reward in sight. Notice that Saturday hits the cap. Spreading the same minutes across more days would earn more than stacking them into one.
If you would like the sessions planned for you, Edge Pro builds a fully personalised plan across running, strength, HIIT and mobility, ready within 24 hours, with a real coach to message anytime. It is optional. The free app and Edge Rewards work without it.
Step 4: Is it worth sharing your waitlist link?
Yes. When you join the waitlist, you get your own link. Every friend who joins through it moves you further up the queue. That is the whole mechanic, and there is nothing more to it.
Share it with people who would genuinely enjoy it: your Saturday running partner, the friend you lift with, or the group chat from your HIIT class. Training is easier with company, and a friend earning alongside you is one more reason to keep your own habit going through the winter.
Step 5: How will points work, in brief?
You do not need to memorise anything, but knowing these five rules means you will know exactly what to aim for in your first month.
- 1 point for every minute of any logged workout, up to 50 a day.
- 2.5 points for every 1,000 steps, up to 25 a day.
- A combined cap of 50 points a day on the free plan, with no roll-over.
- Points reset to zero at the end of each calendar month, so everyone starts each month level.
- You spend points in an in-app marketplace on real products from partner brands, a mix of free items and discounts.
Think categories like coffee and drinks, gels, snacks and bars, protein and supplements, and apparel and gear. Those are examples, not a fixed list. Rewards are gifted by partner brands, and earning and redeeming are free for every member. Edge Pro members earn faster with Double XP, have no daily cap, and get exclusive prizes and secret offers.
The monthly reset is the one rule worth planning around. Points are there to be spent, not saved for months, so aim to use them within the month you earn them.
What does the full checklist look like?
Here are all five steps on one screen, so you can tick them off.
| Step | What to do | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Join the waitlist | Founding members get in on 1 November |
| 2 | Connect Strava, Garmin, Apple Health or Coros, or plan to log by hand | Your workouts count from day one |
| 3 | Build a simple weekly habit | The daily cap rewards steady days |
| 4 | Share your waitlist link | Each friend who joins moves you up the queue |
| 5 | Learn how points work | You know what to aim for, and when points reset |
What happens on 1 November?
If you are on the waitlist, you are a founding member, and Edge Rewards opens to you on Sunday 1 November 2026. Keep an eye on your inbox, as waitlist members hear from us about the launch. From the day you get in, your logged workouts and steps start earning points. Everyone else can join from Saturday 7 November 2026. For the full timeline, read when does Edge Rewards launch?
Until then, nothing about your training needs to change. Keep moving, keep logging, and let the habit you build over the next few weeks carry straight into November. Edge already has 20,000+ members training with it, and the ones who will get the most from Edge Rewards are simply the ones who keep showing up.
