Edge Rewards is one of the most asked-about things coming to the app, so here is the honest, straight answer. It is a free rewards programme that turns the training you already do into points you can spend on real products. It is not live yet. Below is when it launches, what it will do, and how to make sure you are first in.
When does Edge Rewards launch?
Edge Rewards launches in October 2026. It is not in the app today, so if you open Edge right now you will not see it yet. We are building it carefully and want the first version to feel good from day one, which is why there is a waitlist rather than a half-finished feature sitting in the app.
The plan is simple. Waitlist members get early access first, then Edge Rewards rolls out more widely to everyone. If you want to be at the front of that queue, joining the waitlist now is the way to do it.
What is Edge Rewards, in brief?
The idea is that movement should count for something. Every time you log a workout in Edge, you earn points, and you can spend those points on real rewards.
- You earn 1 point for every minute of any logged workout, up to 50 points a day.
- You also earn 2.5 points for every 1,000 steps, up to 25 points a day.
- The combined daily cap is 50 points, and points do not roll over from one day to the next.
- Any logged workout counts, including manual entries and imports from Strava, Apple Health, Garmin and Coros.
- Points reset to zero at the end of each calendar month, so there is always a fresh start.
Points are spent in an in-app marketplace on real products from partner brands, a mix of free items and discounts. Think everyday categories like coffee and drinks, gels, snacks and bars, protein and supplements, and apparel and gear. Those are examples of the kinds of things on offer, not a fixed list. As a rough sense of scale, about a week of training earns a free coffee. Rewards are gifted by partners, and it is free to both earn and redeem.
Everyone earns and redeems. Edge Pro members earn faster with Double XP, have no daily cap so they can keep earning, and get access to exclusive prizes and secret offers.
What counts as a logged workout?
More than you might think. Any workout you log in Edge counts towards points, whether that is a run, a strength session, a HIIT class, a mobility flow, or a steady walk. You do not have to train in a certain way or hit a certain intensity. If it is logged, it counts.
That includes sessions you add by hand, so a class at your local studio or a five-a-side game can still earn points once you record it. It also includes anything that syncs in from Strava, Apple Health, Garmin and Coros, so if you already track your training elsewhere, most of it will simply flow through. On top of workouts, your daily steps earn too, which rewards the everyday movement that is easy to overlook.
How much can you realistically earn?
The daily cap is 50 points, and there is no roll-over, so the programme rewards steady habits rather than one huge session. A 50 minute workout, or a shorter session paired with a solid step count, will get you to the cap on a good day. As a rough sense of scale, about a week of training earns a free coffee, and the bigger rewards build up from there.
Because points reset to zero at the end of each calendar month, consistency matters more than any single day. The members who get the most out of it will be the ones who keep showing up, which is the same habit that makes training work in the first place. Edge Pro members earn faster with Double XP and have no daily cap, so they can go further in a month, but the core programme is free for everyone.
What can you expect at launch?
We want to be honest about what is confirmed and what is still being finalised, so here is a fair picture of launch.
- A working points balance that adds up your logged workouts and steps automatically.
- An in-app marketplace with a starting set of partner rewards across everyday categories.
- A mix of free items and discounts, so there is something to aim for whatever your balance.
- Monthly resets, so the programme stays fresh and everyone starts each month level.
What we will not do is over-promise. The exact partners and the exact rewards on the shelf at launch will be shared closer to the date, and they will change over time as new partners come on board. If a detail is not confirmed, we would rather say so than guess.
Is there a catch?
No. Edge Rewards is free to take part in, free to earn, and free to redeem, and there is nothing to buy to unlock it. Rewards are gifted by partner brands, which is what makes the free items and discounts possible. We will always be clear about how points work and what they are worth.
The one honest caveat is that the exact rewards on the shelf will change over time, and some items will be limited. That is normal for a marketplace like this, and it is also why joining the waitlist early is worth it. Founding members are first in, which means the best pick of what is available when the doors open.
What is the timeline?
- Now, August 2026: the waitlist is open. Join to lock in founding-member early access.
- October 2026: Edge Rewards goes live. Waitlist members are first in.
- After launch: a wider rollout to all Edge members.
How do you get early access?
Early access comes through the waitlist. Waitlist members get founding-member status and are first in when Edge Rewards goes live, ahead of the general launch. It is the simplest way to make sure you are not waiting once the marketplace opens.
How do you join the waitlist?
Joining takes less than a minute. Head to the waitlist page and add your email and first name. There is nothing to pay and no commitment, and you can train as normal in the meantime. When early access opens, waitlist members hear first.
Why is it worth joining early?
Two reasons. First, founding-member status, which puts you in the first group through the door. Second, timing. Rewards are partner-gifted and some will be limited, so being first in means the best chance at the items members will want most. There is no cost and no catch. You simply make sure you are at the front of the queue when real rewards go live.
In the meantime, the best thing you can do is keep training. Edge treats running, strength and HIIT as one plan, so whatever you log will count towards points once the programme is live. Staying in a steady rhythm now means you will be ready to earn from day one.
