1.4. Your use of our app or website means you accept this Policy.
1.5. This Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and your rights.
1.6. We may update this Policy at any time. Continued use of Edge means you accept the updated version.

2. WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
We collect and process the following categories of data.2.1 Contact data
Name, email, address, phone number, age, date of birth, gender, social media handles and any profile information you provide.
If you connect via Apple/Google/social accounts, we receive basic profile data.2.2 Health & Fitness data (Special Category Data)
Height, weight, fitness level, training history, training objectives, heart-rate data, biometrics, GPS/location data during activities, performance data, cadence, pace, effort, injury notes you choose to share.
This is special category data under UK GDPR.2.3 Communication data
Messages, support queries, feedback, and communications with us or other users.2.4 Usage data
IP address, device type, OS/browser details, session duration, actions taken in the app, crash logs and analytics data.2.5 Payment data
Handled by Apple or Google directly. We do not store full card details.

3. WHY WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Managing your account, generating personalised training plans, adjusting workouts using AI, syncing device data, ensuring app performance, and displaying activity data in community features.3.2 Processing Health & Fitness Data (Explicit Consent – Article 9(2)(a))
We require your explicit consent to process special category health data.
You can withdraw consent at any time.3.3 AI Personalisation (Legitimate Interests + Explicit Consent)
We use AI to analyse training inputs, adapt your programme, automate progression and provide insights.
AI does not make medical decisions. Human oversight is always available.3.4 Communicating with you

4. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING & PROFILING
4.1. We use automated systems and AI to generate and adjust training programmes. This includes profiling based on fitness level, engagement, performance, heart-rate trends and location.
4.2. You have the right to request human review, object to profiling, or request an explanation of how automated processes work.
4.3. Automated decisions never determine employment status, make medical diagnoses or override safety constraints.

6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
6.1. Some providers process data outside the UK.
6.2. Where international transfers occur, we use UK-approved safeguards such as SCCs, adequacy decisions or transfer assessments.
6.3. Public data in the app may be visible worldwide.

7. RETENTION & DELETION
7.1. We keep personal data only as long as necessary.
7.2. Account data is retained while your account is active.
7.3. Inactive accounts are deactivated after two years and deleted three months later unless you request reactivation.
7.4. Transaction data is retained for seven years for legal compliance.
7.5. Usage data is kept as long as needed for operational improvement.
7.6. Special category data is deleted upon account deletion unless legal needs require otherwise.
