Edge Rewards
Edge Pro double points explained: how much faster do you earn Edge Rewards?
Edge Pro earns points twice as fast with no daily max, but every member earns and redeems Edge Rewards for free. Here is the honest maths on both.
TL;DR
- Edge Pro earns double points with no daily max, but you do not need Edge Pro to use Edge Rewards. Earning and redeeming are free for every member.
- On the free tier you earn 1 point per minute of any logged workout plus 2.5 points per 1,000 steps (up to 25), with a 50-point daily max.
- A 30-minute run earns 30 points free and 60 on Edge Pro. A 90-minute long run hits the 50-point daily max on the free tier, while Edge Pro has no daily max.
- Edge Pro is £19.99 a month, with a 7-day free trial that needs a card. The real reason to get it is the personalised plan and a real coach, not the points.
- Edge Rewards launches in November 2026. Founding members from the waitlist get in on 1 November, and everyone else on 7 November.

To earn and redeem Edge Rewards, for every member
Edge Pro earns Edge Rewards points at double the free rate and has no daily max, so a 30-minute run earns 60 points instead of 30. You do not need Edge Pro to use Edge Rewards, though: every member earns and redeems for free, and Edge Pro is an optional upgrade built around a personalised plan and a real coach.
Edge Rewards is our free rewards programme, and it launches in November 2026. The idea is simple: get rewarded for moving. Below are worked examples for both tiers, a side-by-side table, and an honest take on who Edge Pro is really for. New to the programme? Start with Edge Rewards explained, then come back here for the Edge Pro detail.
What does double points on Edge Pro actually mean?
It means Edge Pro members earn workout points at twice the free rate. On the free tier, every minute of a logged workout earns 1 point. On Edge Pro, the same minute earns 2. You may also see this called Double XP. Same workout, same minutes, twice the points.
The second difference is the cap. Free members can earn up to 50 points a day. Edge Pro has no daily max, so a long session or a two-session day keeps earning instead of stopping at 50. Edge Pro members also get exclusive prizes and secret offers that sit on top of the standard marketplace.
One thing we are deliberately not covering is how step points work on Edge Pro. That detail has not been published yet, so every Edge Pro example here uses workout minutes only.
How do points work on the free tier?
Here is the baseline every member gets, free:
- 1 point for every minute of any logged workout, up to 50.
- 2.5 points for every 1,000 steps, up to 25.
- A combined daily max of 50 points, with no roll-over to the next day.
- Points reset to zero at the end of each calendar month.
Any logged workout counts. That means runs, strength sessions, HIIT, yoga, mobility, classes and rides, whether you log them in Edge, add them by hand, or import them from Strava, Apple Health, Garmin or Coros. Steps fill in the gaps on lighter days, so a 30-minute run plus 8,000 steps is 30 + 20 = 50 points, a full day.
The free ceiling is therefore 50 points a day, or up to 350 in a week if you hit the max every day. Most people will not, and that is fine. As a rough guide, about a week of training earns something like a free coffee. For a closer look at what points turn into, read what your workout points are actually worth.
How much faster do you earn on Edge Pro?
For any single session of 50 minutes or less, Edge Pro earns exactly double. Above 50 minutes the gap gets wider, because the free tier stops at the daily max while Edge Pro keeps counting. Here are some typical sessions, using workout minutes only:
| Session | Free tier | Edge Pro |
|---|---|---|
| 20-minute yoga or mobility flow | 20 points | 40 points |
| 25-minute HIIT session | 25 points | 50 points |
| 30-minute run | 30 points | 60 points |
| 45-minute strength session | 45 points | 90 points |
| 90-minute long run | 50 points (daily max) | 180 points (no daily max) |
Notice the 25-minute HIIT row. On Edge Pro, a 25-minute session earns the same 50 points that a free member can earn in a whole day.
Free members can also top up with steps, so a 30-minute run plus a normal day of walking can still reach 50. The real gap between the tiers is smaller on short-session days and bigger on long ones.
What does an example week look like on each tier?
Here is an example week of four sessions, again counting workout minutes only so the comparison is like for like. It is an illustration, not a target.
| Day | Session | Free tier | Edge Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | 30-minute run | 30 | 60 |
| Wednesday | 45-minute strength session | 45 | 90 |
| Friday | 25-minute HIIT | 25 | 50 |
| Sunday | 90-minute long run | 50 (daily max) | 180 |
| Week total | Workout points only | 150 | 380 |
That is about two and a half times the workout points, mostly because of the long run. On the free tier, steps add more on top, up to the 50-point max each day. Walk 8,000 steps every day (20 step points) and the free week rises to 255: 50 on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, 45 on Friday, and 20 on each rest day. Steps are left out of the Edge Pro column because how they work on Edge Pro has not been confirmed.
How do the free tier and Edge Pro compare side by side?

| Free trial | Not needed | 7 days, needs a card to start |
| Workout points | 1 point per minute | Double, so 2 points per minute |
| Step points | 2.5 per 1,000 steps, up to 25 a day | Not confirmed yet |

Do you need Edge Pro to use Edge Rewards?
No. This is the most important line in the whole guide. Every Edge member can earn points and spend them in the marketplace for free, with no subscription and no paywall on rewards. Rewards are gifted by partner brands, which is why the programme costs members nothing. We explain the full reasoning in is Edge Rewards really free.
If you train three or four times a week and walk most days, the free tier will often put you at or near 50 points on training days, which is plenty to enjoy the marketplace. Edge Pro makes points build faster, but it is a bonus on top of a training product, not a ticket you need to buy to get in.
Who is Edge Pro actually worth it for?
Honestly, we would not suggest upgrading for the points alone. The reason to try Edge Pro is the training. You get a fully personalised plan across running, strength, HIIT and mobility, ready within 24 hours, and a real coach you can message anytime. Edge treats all of that as one plan, so your runs, lifts and HIIT sessions are scheduled together instead of competing across separate apps.
Edge Pro tends to suit you if:
- you want a plan that tells you what to do each day
- you do longer sessions, such as long runs, where the free daily max would cut your points short
- you like the idea of a real coach to ask questions as you go
- you want access to exclusive prizes and secret offers in the marketplace
If none of that appeals, stick with the free tier. You will still earn, still redeem, and still be rewarded for the training you already do. If you do want to try Edge Pro, the yearly option works out at about £10 a month, and the 7-day free trial needs a card to start.
What are the exclusive prizes and secret offers?
These are extra rewards for Edge Pro members, on top of the standard marketplace. We are keeping the details under wraps until launch, and point prices for individual rewards have not been published yet either.
What we can explain is how redeeming works for everyone. You spend points in the in-app marketplace on real products gifted by partner brands, a mix of free items and discounts, across example categories such as coffee and drinks, gels, snacks and bars, protein, and kit. To claim in person, you show a one-tap screen at the counter.
Does the monthly reset matter more on Edge Pro?
Points reset to zero at the end of each calendar month, and nothing rolls over. The idea is simple: spend as you go. If you earn faster on Edge Pro, you just have more to spend before the month ends, so check the marketplace every week or two rather than saving everything for the last day.
Edge Rewards goes live for founding members from the waitlist on Sunday 1 November 2026, with the public launch on Saturday 7 November 2026. Until then, the rules in this guide describe how the programme will work at launch.
Should you train more just to earn more points?
No, and this matters more on Edge Pro, where there is no daily max to stop you. Points reward the training you would do anyway; they are not a reason to add extra sessions. Rest days are part of getting fitter, and a sensible beginner week has two or three easy or rest days in it. If you notice you are adding minutes just to chase a number, take that as a cue to step back.
A good rule of thumb: let your training decide how much you do, and let the points follow. On Edge Pro, your plan is built around you, so the points simply come from following it.
