Peloton Badges vs Edge Rewards: What Do You Actually Get for Working Out? (UK 2026)

Peloton badges and Club Peloton levels celebrate your consistency inside Peloton, Edge Rewards will turn any logged workout into points for real products from November, and you can use both.

TL;DR

  • You do not have to choose. Peloton can send workouts to Apple Health and Strava, and Edge syncs with both, so one Peloton class can count towards a badge and earn Edge points.
  • Peloton badges are digital awards for class milestones, streaks, monthly challenges and special event classes.
  • Club Peloton, for subscribing members, adds 11 levels from Bronze to Legend. Peloton says its points cannot be redeemed or used to buy anything.
  • At the time of writing, the Peloton App costs around £12.99 a month for App One or £28.99 a month for App+ in the UK, after a 30-day free trial.
  • Edge Rewards is our own free rewards programme and it is not live yet. Founding members get early access on Sunday 1 November 2026, and the public launch is on Saturday 7 November 2026.

Peloton badges give you digital recognition for working out with Peloton, such as class milestones, streaks and challenge medals, but they are not something you can spend. Edge Rewards, launching in November 2026, will turn any logged workout and your daily steps into points you spend on real products, and because Peloton can share workouts to Apple Health and Strava, you can keep your badges and earn Edge points from the same class.

Edge Rewards is our own programme and it is not live yet, so everything below about it describes how it will work at launch. The Peloton side is based on Peloton's own website and help centre at the time of writing.

What are Peloton badges?

Badges are the small awards that appear in the Peloton app when you hit a goal. Peloton keeps them in a virtual trophy cabinet on the Achievements tab of your profile, alongside the badges you can work towards next.

There are a few main types:

  • Class milestones: a badge for your 1st, 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th and 100th class in a discipline, then one for every 50 classes after that.
  • Streak badges: for working out on consecutive days, and for consecutive weeks. Peloton counts streaks by calendar days in a row, so a three-day streak means Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, not any three workouts within 72 hours.
  • Challenge badges: bronze, silver and gold medals for monthly and longer challenges, covered below.
  • Event badges: limited badges for special classes, such as Artist Series classes or classes for holidays and events.

How do Peloton challenges and streaks work?

Challenges are goals you opt into. Most reset each month, and each has a bronze, silver and gold tier. You can join at any point in the month, and any eligible class you have already taken that month still counts.

  • Activity challenge: work out with Peloton as often as you can in the month. Peloton's own guide gives bronze for 10 workouts, silver for 15 and gold for 20, and any type of class counts.
  • Modality challenges: a new set each month for areas such as strength, yoga and meditation, with bronze at 5 classes, silver at 10 and gold at 15.
  • Distance challenges: ride, run, walk or row a set distance in the month. These are tied to Peloton equipment, so a cycling distance challenge needs a Peloton Bike.

Workouts imported from other apps get some credit. Peloton's help centre says imports from sources such as Apple Health and Garmin can count towards streaks and some activity badges, but not class milestones, while its Club Peloton page says third-party workouts do not count towards streak points. Check Peloton's help centre for the current rules.

What is Club Peloton?

Club Peloton is Peloton's member recognition system, introduced in autumn 2025. It is for members on App One, App+ or All-Access, and Peloton's FAQ says free memberships do not show a level or points. You start at Bronze I and climb through 11 levels, up to Legend at 30,000 points or more.

The points reward turning up rather than performance: 2 points for each day you work out with Peloton, plus points for streaks, milestones, completed challenges, community activity such as high fives, and each year of membership. Your level shows as a badge on your profile.

As you level up, Peloton says you may unlock new badges and extras such as discounts, but these are at its discretion and not guaranteed. Points are not a currency: they cannot be redeemed or used to buy anything, and if you cancel your membership, your points reset to zero.

How much does the Peloton App cost in the UK?

You do not need a Peloton Bike or Tread to earn badges. At the time of writing, Peloton's UK site and the UK App Store list two tiers, both with a 30-day free trial for new members:

  • App One: around £12.99 a month or £129 a year. Unlimited strength, yoga, meditation, outdoor running and gym workouts, plus 3 cardio equipment classes a month.
  • App+: around £28.99 a month or £289 a year. Everything in App One, plus unlimited cardio classes for any exercise bike, treadmill or rower.

Peloton Bike and Tread owners need the All-Access Membership instead, listed at around £45 a month.

What do you actually get from a Peloton badge?

Peloton badges are digital. You get the badge in your trophy cabinet, possibly a shout-out from an instructor if you hit a milestone in a live class, and progress towards your next Club Peloton level. For lots of people that is genuinely motivating.

What badges do not give you is anything to spend, and they mostly reward training inside Peloton, so a parkrun or a gym session logged elsewhere may get limited credit. If you would like all of your training to add up to something you can use in real life, that is the gap Edge Rewards is built to fill.

What is Edge Rewards?

Edge Rewards is a free rewards programme inside the Edge app, built around one simple idea: get rewarded for moving. It is our own programme, and it is not live yet. Founding members on the waitlist get early access from Sunday 1 November 2026, and the public launch is on Saturday 7 November 2026.

Instead of badges, you collect points. You will spend them in an in-app marketplace on real products from partner brands, a mix of free items and discounts, in categories such as coffee and drinks, gels, snacks and bars, protein and supplements, and apparel and gear. The rewards are gifted by partner brands, and to redeem in person you show a one-tap screen at the counter. Everyone earns and redeems, on the free app or Edge Pro. As a rough guide, about a week of training earns something like a free coffee.

How will you earn Edge points?

  • Workouts: 1 point per minute of any logged workout, up to 50 points a day.
  • Steps: 2.5 points per 1,000 steps, up to 25 points a day.
  • Daily cap: the two add together, up to 50 points a day for free members. Anything over the cap does not roll over.
  • Monthly reset: points reset to zero at the end of each calendar month, so spend them before the month ends.

Points count minutes, not output or pace, so a 30-minute Peloton ride earns 30 points whether you push hard or take it easy. Add 8,000 steps (20 points) and you reach the 50-point daily cap. Edge Pro members, from £22.99 a month after a 7-day free trial that needs a card, earn double points with no daily cap, plus exclusive prizes and secret offers.

Can Peloton workouts count towards Edge Rewards?

Yes, as long as they reach Edge. Peloton's help centre explains that the Peloton App can write your workouts to Apple Health on iPhone and auto-post them to a linked Strava account. Edge syncs with both, and imports from both will count towards Edge Rewards.

  • On iPhone: in the Health app, allow Peloton to write workouts, then connect Apple Health to Edge.
  • With Strava: link Strava to your Peloton account and turn on auto-post, then connect Strava to Edge.
  • No sync? Log the session in Edge by hand. Manual entries count too.

Using one route rather than both avoids the same class coming through twice, and it is worth checking your first class syncs. Our guide to whether Edge Rewards works with Apple Watch, Garmin and Strava covers the set-up in more detail.

Which one suits you?

If you love Peloton classes and enjoy collecting, keep chasing those badges. Streaks, milestones and challenge medals are a fun, well-made way to stay consistent.

If your week mixes Peloton with outdoor runs, gym sessions, HIIT or long walks, Edge Rewards counts all of it, steps included. Because the two reward different things, many members will simply use both.

If you are also weighing up Peloton against Edge for the training itself, our Edge vs Peloton App comparison looks at a class library versus one personalised plan, and our Apple Watch awards vs Edge Rewards guide covers another badge system that sits happily alongside Edge.
